昨日の続き・・・メールを送ったのが６月１０日で、その頃ボルドーでは、“ワインの祭典・ヴィネクスポ”が開催されていて、かなり忙しかったために「返信」が遅くなった旨のお詫びから“コリーヌさん”の文面は始まって、ここ１０年間のラベルの変遷について、事細かに、そして何よりも丁寧に答えてくれていた・・・。私自身、「シャトー・マルゴー」とコンタクトが取れたことに興奮し、まさに感動的な出来事だった・・・。早速、お礼のメールを送り“この返信の内容を、お客様に報告できることを誇りに思う・・・”と添えておいた・・・。
返信の内容は、自分なりに理解しているつもりですが、念のため皆様にお伝えします。

First of all please accept most sincere apology for not answering your very first kind email.
We have been extremely busy because of Vinexpo which recently took place in Bordeaux and brought many visitors to Chateau Margaux.
Thank you very much for your great interest in Chateau Margaux.We rarely recieve emails from people with such a sense for perfection and attention to details.We appreciate your noticeing our label change.
Indeed our label was redesigned several times inn the past 10years.
First back in the early 1990's we ewnt from a traditional paper labelgoing through a a `glue machine'to a new synthetic adhesive label thus avoiding glue marks on the back and easy removal.
In 1994 our label underwent more substancial yet small changes.Indeed we removed the flower beds.They no longer existed in the front garden of the chateau.Therefore we felt they needed not de on our label any longer.
We prefered the label to be true to life.
In additionew decided that Chateau Margaux needed higher quality labels.So we chose to have them printed by National Mint.The print system is called `taille douce'which entails softermore precise hand engravingusing more ink.In other wordour labels are now made the same way as stamps snd bank notes used to be made years ago so as to ensure perfect quality and resistances as well.
